YOUNG HISTORIAN’S AWARD 2009

At the end of last term Mrs Sillars ( History Leader) submitted a selection of the Year 4 work from their project about World War Two to the Primary category of Young Historians Award 2009, which is sponsored by the Trustees of the Spirit of Normandy Trust.  Mrs Sillars felt that the standard of the work produced was very high and the judges obviously agreed as we won the first prize of £200.00.

Mrs Sillars is planning to take a group of six children from that year group (the current Year 5’s), to The Imperial War Museum where they will be presented with their prize by Sir Patrick Cormack MP FSA.  They are then to be treated to lunch and can look around the museum.

This year's ambitious and highly successful school production was Bugsy Malone which the children of years 5 and 6 performed in March. Here are  some photographs of the show.
